If you're curious about deepening (or starting!) your meditation practice, this workshop is for you. Somatic meditation is an approachable, body-friendly way of reducing stress and calming anxiety. You'll learn how *freeing* it is to meditate either sitting up or lying down on your back. Yes, you can meditate on your back! Sally will explain what makes somatic meditation so unique and how it's rooted in the Buddhist principle of taking refuge in the body (rather than considering the body as an enemy). You'll also learn why it's so normal to resist meditation. Hint, hint - most of us were taught from a very young age to stuff our feelings, but meditation brings up feelings!
