About the event

Join Britt Saturday, January 21st, for a special evening of Restorative Yoga and a guided Yoga Nidra practice, as we embrace the darkness of the new moon.

In winter, the natural world teaches us to pause, slow down, embrace the silence, and welcome the healing and nurturing that comes from stillness. During the new moon, the sun and Earth are on opposite sides of the moon, casting the moon in darkness. The new moon is a powerful time to plant your seeds of intention and manifest your heart’s desires. It’s a time to quiet things down so you can listen to your own inner voice, wisdom, and set your intentions with mindfulness.

During this 2.5-hour workshop, Britt will lead you through pranayama breathwork, a gentle yoga sequence, supported restorative poses, and a guided yoga Nidra meditation, ending in silent savasana.

In a culture obsessed with acceleration, Restorative Yoga helps us discover the joy of going slow, paying attention, and being still. Yoga Nidra is an incredibly healing practice in which you hover in the space between awake and asleep, allowing the body to be highly relaxed while the mind is tranquil but alert.

This workshop is about enabling you to let go of physical & mental stress & encourage your sympathetic nervous system (Fight, Flight, Freeze) to dial down and your parasympathetic nervous system (Rest & Digest) to dial up - promoting balance and helping you to reset.

No experience is necessary, all that's required of you is to show up dressed in your coziest clothes.
